For a professional boxer/kickboxer/mixed martial artist who is 38 or older, or who will turn 38 during this calendar year; and/or who has not fought a professional fight in the last 36 months; and/or has fought over 425 professional rounds and is not under suspension in another state. **For the year 2019 if you were born in 1981 or earlier these requirements are for you.
If any of the testing is abnormal or questionable an appropriate specialist will be consulted. Any and all additional testing and referrals deemed necessary by the original examining physician should be obtained. The additional tests will be valid for a two-year period unless extenuating circumstances occur. Once the commission physician has reviewed the medical data, and your record and ability to compete has been determined, the commission will vote at a public meeting on whether or not to issue a license.
