Licensing Information - Boxer/Kickboxer/Mixed Martial Artist Contestant

REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A LICENSED BOXER, KICK BOXER OR MIXED MARTIAL ARTIST CONTESTANT IN NEVADA

PROFESSIONAL CONTESTANT
For a professional boxer/kickboxer/mixed martial artist between the ages of 18 - 37**, who has fought a professional fight in the last 36 months, has not fought over 425 professional rounds and is not under suspension in another state.


**For the year 2024 if you were born in the year 1986, or before, you need the Comprehensive contestant requirements.  

 

AMATEUR TO PRO CONTESTANT
For an amateur boxer/kickboxer/mixed martial artist who is going to make his or her professional debut. 

 

COMPREHENSIVE CONTESTANT
For a professional boxer/kickboxer/mixed martial artist who is 38 or older, or who will turn 38 during this calendar year; and/or who has not fought a professional fight in the last 36 months; and/or has fought over 425 professional rounds and is not under suspension in another state.


**For the year 2024 if you were born in 1986, or before, these requirements are for you. 

 

BOXING FEDERAL ID APPLICATION
Requirements: 
1. Truthfully and accurately fill out the following application Boxing Federal ID Application
2. Clear copy of a current government issued ID (Examples: State-issued driver's license/ID card, Passport, etc.) 
3. A photo which shows head and shoulders only, without a hat, in .jpeg format
Submit the above items via email to nsacinfo@boxing.nv.gov at the Nevada Athletic Commission at NO cost. 

 

MMA NATIONAL ID APPLICATION
Requirements:
1. Truthfully and accurately fill out the following application MMA National ID Application
2. Clear copy of a current government issued ID (Examples: State-issued driver's license/ ID card, Passport, etc.) 
3. A photo which shows head and shoulders only, without a hat, in .jpeg format
Submit the above items via email to nsacinfo@boxing.nv.gov at the Nevada Athletic Commission at NO cost.  

 

AMATEUR CONTESTANT
If you are an amateur unarmed combatant you must contact the sanctioning body of the event you are fighting on for their registration requirements.  Contact the promoter of the event for more information.
